Get ready for an unforgettable day on the Gulf with the PGI Castaways aboard The Miss Venice!
Where: The Miss Venice, 465 North Tamiami Trail, Venice (Spot 22)
When: Friday, April 17th
Boat departs: 8:00 AM sharp — please arrive by 7:00 AM to check in, get set up, and ensure everything goes off smoothly!
COST: $173 per person — all-inclusive, including taxes and a 20% crew tip.
Price is based on a maximum of 17 passengers. We must guarantee all 17 spots; if we don’t reach that number, the per-person cost will increase accordingly.
What’s included:
• Rod & reel (you may bring one personal rod & reel if you like)
• Bait & tackle
• Ice & hand towel
• Fishing license & permits
• FREE fish filleting at the dock!
What we’re fishing for:
Red & Gag Grouper, Scamp, Lane Snapper, Grey Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, White Grunt, Porgy, Flounder, Triggerfish, Mackerel, King Mackerel, Amberjack, Sea Bass, Barracuda, Cobia, Bonita, Banded Rudderfish, and even sharks! (Only Bonnethead & Blacktip sharks are kept; all others are safely released to protect the Gulf ecosystem.)
Fishing style:
We’ll be bottom fishing — and we provide everything you need.
What to bring:
• Your lunch & plenty of snacks
• Lots of water & other beverages (beer is fine)
• Sunscreen
• One personal rod & reel (optional)
What NOT to bring:
• Hard liquor
• Illegal drugs, pipes, cigars, or glass bottles
Smoking/vaping policy:
• Cigarettes & vaping allowed only when the boat is moving
• Please smoke/vape at the stern (rear) of the boat so it doesn’t affect other passengers
Important notes:
• Cancellations are not allowed — but if you can’t make it, we’ll gladly try to help you find a replacement for your spot.
• Weather-related cancellations: We will notify everyone the evening before if the trip is called off due to weather conditions.
