Meet The Candidates for Elected Public Office
About this event
The public is invited to come and meet candidates for elected office in the November 2026 general election where you will have the opportunity to talk to each candidate on a one-on-one basis. We are also reserving tables for representatives of issues that will be on the ballot so you can talk to them and get information that is important to you.
We are inviting all candidates who will be on the ballot for various local, City of Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, state and Federal races. Come and ask them about issues that are important to you, and what they think are the critical issues they will address if elected.
We currently have the following candidates confirmed:
- Phillip Carter - State Representative District 76
- John Fleming - County Commissioner District 2
- Michael Melton - County Commissioner District 4
- Jeannine Polk - City Council District 1
- George Williamson - City Council District 1
- Gary Butler - City Council District 4
- Janis Denton - City Council District 4
- Vote Yes! For Success - campaigning for the the Charlotte County Schools referendum
Any other candidates or organized groups representing a ballot issue are welcome to participate.
