Get a sense of Old Florida’s quirkiness as we tour Solomons Castle. Located west of Sarasota in the swamp area of Ona, the castle is the creation of renowned sculptor Howard Solomon. Mr. Solomon was known as the DaVinci of Debris! The 12,000 aluminum castle and artwork are all made from recycled items. Decorated with more than 80 interpretive stained glass windows and countless metal sculptures the castle is a day-long delight.<br /><br />We will meet at the Castle for a 10:00 am tour. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. We will then gather for lunch at the onsite restaurant, Boat-in-the-Moat.
